Two things prevent us from happiness: living in the past and comparing ourselves to others. Do not compare your life chapter's 1 to someone else's chapter 20. You have no idea on what their journey is about. Be gentle with yourself, you are doing the best you can.
My face after Shaun T is done with me😱
Was in need of a mood booster in the worst way. My anxiety takes hold pretty damn good by times and digging deep is what will get me out and back on track. There's no way in hell I want to go back to where I came from and when the threat rears it's ugly head, it's go time.
Switching up my workout program to help keep the brain chemicals aligned and honing in on my eating will help me do just that!
Forever grateful to our virtual health and fitness community who are helping me stay accountable and HEALTHY!! (Sweaty selfie for effect😆)
So much raw truth in this photo:
1.) eating dinner before 5pm
2.) mac-n-cheese from the pan
3.) bubbly from the bottle
4.) half-eaten muffin before starting the meal
We interpret so much from a photo. Yet, what we see says more about our state of mind than we are often aware. What do you see?
What's really happening in this photo:
1.) "Bottom" is the bottom of my to-do list.
2.) I never ate mac-n-cheese growing up, so it feels like a small indulgence when I eat it now.
3.) Is it champagne? Prosecco? Sparking cider? Flavored seltzer water? 🤷🏻♀️
4.) I've been overwhelmed by all good things lately. Burning my candle at both ends because I want to see results.
This afternoon/evening, I'm celebrating the bottom because I get to start moving toward the next level. #goingup? 🥂
REMEMBER YOUR WHY! ✨ #Throwback to the beginning of my transformation to living a life of REAL wellness. Society has conditioned us to see wellness & being “healthy” as something that can be defined by exterior beauty or aesthetics. I was victim of it myself. Until I woke up and realized that REAL wellness had NOTHING to do with aesthetics. It has EVERYTHING to do with mind, body and soul recovery from the INSIDE-out.
My journey has been filled with A LOT of hurdles and hardships along the way, but every day I remind myself WHY I’m doing this. To feel better. To think better. To move better. To truly LOVE myself. To be a better human being. To give myself a shot at the healthiest and happiest life possible. For my beautiful angel up in heaven. For my family and friends. For all of you. And most importantly, for me.
I’d love to know YOUR why! Comment below and lets keep spreading the love and inspiration! ❤️
